industry.
Technologies include NMR and induction logging for both wire-line and measurement-while-drilling systems. Challenges include design of ultra-sensitive instrumentation that survives in a high pressure, temperature, and vibration environment.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Credentials
- BSEE/CMPEN or related discipline. A solid understanding of Electrical Engineering fundamentals is mandatory. Skills with both analog and digital electronic design are needed. Required technical competency areas:
- Fluency in C and assembly language programming
- Embedded Systems Programming under Real-time Operating Systems (RT/OS)
- Understanding of object oriented design methodologies
- Complex algorithm development, data structures, and communication protocols
- Digital hardware design

Major Responsibilities and Daily Job Activities
- All aspect of embedded systems including system design, firmware
development, digital and analog, instrumentation acquisition systems, digital signal processing, communication protocols, etc.
- Supervision of Electrical Engineers, Technicians, and CAD personnel in a
team environment. Working with Mechanical
- Engineering, Sensor Physics, and other support groups as required in
completing assignments.
- Project leadership in research and development furthering Halliburton’s
technology.
- Participate in design reviews and field-test during the development phase of
the programs.
- Attending technical conferences and seminars and supporting technology
transfer when needed
- Manufacturing support, or other special assignments and
research projects as required.

- CPLD/FPGA design in VHDL
- Digital Signal Processing
- Signal conditioning and instrumentatiol
- Numerical processing and analysis tools such as MATLAB, COMSOL, ANSYS, Spice
- High temperature, low power electronics
- Ultra low noise amplifier design
- Power and high voltage electronics
- Electromagnetic design and modeling
