In this position you will have the opportunity to use your hardware and embedded software
design skills to work on state-of-the-art, real-time implementations of signal processing and communications algorithms for Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA), Digital Signal Processor
(DSP), and microcontroller targets for embedded wireless systems.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Credentials
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance
- BSEE, or equivalent degree.
- 5+ years experience in embedded hardware/software design

Major Responsibilities and Daily Job Activities
- Develop, simulate, and test digital designs in VHDL, targeting FPGAs and ASICs, for embedded wireless communications systems.
- Schematic capture and PCB layout of digital circuits for low-powered, miniaturized communications systems.
- Analyze digital signal integrity.
oDevelop real-time implementations of signal processing algorithms for Field
Programmable Gate Array (FPGA), Digital Signal Processor (DSP), and microcontroller targets for embedded wireless communications systems.
- Design, develop and debug DSP code in C / C++ / C# and Assembly languages.
- Develop audio, video, and GUI applications in Visual C/ C++ / C#.
- Use of lab equipment such as oscilloscope, logic analyzer, spectrum analyzer and network analyzer

Desired Skills and Experience
- Familiarity with Altium Designer
- Familiarity with Xilinx/System Generator, Synplify DSP and/or Synplicity
- Familiarity with signal processing mathematics and MATLAB/Simulink
- Familiarity with Solidworks
- Familiarity with analog design
- Familiarity with networking / data protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, WLAN, USB, PCI, x.25, GPRS, CAN, I2C and SPI
- Experience with GUI design
- MSEE, or equivalent degree
