Required Knowledge, Skills, and Credentials

  • The successful candidate must have a deep understanding of software architecture modeling including a background in systems modeling and simulation. He or she must also possess the following:
  • excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • solid quantitative ability
  • strong overall marketing, research, and planning skills and
  • excellent customer interaction skills
  • a degree in engineering, computer science or in a scientific field relevant to MATLAB or Simulink use
  • at least 5+ years of professional experience (including 2+ years in marketing or technical sales).

Major Responsibilities

We are seeking a proactive individual to market our design and simulation products for software systems modeling. Our wide array of products, built on a successful platform, enable engineers to intuitively model, simulate, and test complex systems for control, signal processing and communications applications. You will be responsible for technical product marketing for products related to software and systems architecture modeling. This is your opportunity to leverage your experience with software modeling approaches in the growing engineering community that uses our product. Responsibilities

  • Produce technical papers, demos, articles, and user stories in support of the product area.
  • Identify new market opportunities for existing products and proactively develop programs to pursue these.
  • Measure sales and pricing effectiveness for your products, initiate and develop plans to enhance penetration and growth.
  • Plan and manage focused competitive analysis for your product area and develop positioning and response.
  • Conceptualize and develop worldwide marketing programs focused on your product area.
    o Work closely with sales teams in support of sales opportunities and major programs for your product area.
  • Work directly with key customers and thought leaders to identify and define new product requirements.
  • Drive development of new products and features working closely with the Engineering staff.


 

  Desired Skills and Experience

  • Experience with Simulink or equivalent products is highly desirable.
  • International experience is desired. Industry experience in aerospace, defense, automotive, or related industries is also desired.
  • MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
