My client is looking for software design engineers with computer architecture and Linux/Unix internals skills to join our growing operating system development team. As a
member of a small advanced software team, you will be challenged to implement, debug, and test components of their custom Operating System and the IBM Cyclops 64 hardware. Previous experience
with parallel programming and hardware management is strongly encouraged. Recent graduates and applicants with commercial or open source system software experience will be considered. This
Operating System is a Linux/Unix-based, massively multi-threaded and parallel shared memory architecture. You will be expected to work on multiple projects concurrently as needed.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Credentials
- BS or MS in Computer Science/Engineering
- Emphasis in computer architecture is encouraged
- Experience working with parallel architectures is strongly encouraged
- Linux/Unix operating system internal knowledge is required
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work well in a cooperative development environment
- Ability to work independently to solve difficult problems and implement solutions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, schedule-driven environment
- Flexibility and willingness to adapt easily
